STRONG START FOR KIDS
People of Progression Back-to-School Supplies Drive
Monday-Thursday | 10am – 6pm | Taperz Barber Shop

The vision of People of Progression is to intentionally build support around marginalized African Americans in our community. By focusing on a holistic approach to healing, skill-building, and targeting the root causes of systemic oppression, they actively empower our families & next generation.
People of Progression hosts an annual Block Party, during which young people attending the event are provided with a backpack and school supplies. While this year’s Block Party occurs on August 28th and right after after Strive to Thrive week, we are asking people to support the effort of this important organization in our community by contributing supplies or monetary donation. Physical donations of school supplies (notebooks, pens, highlighters, pencils, scissors, etc) and monetary donation of cash or check made payable to People of Progression can be dropped off between Aug. 22-25, 10a-6p at Taperz Barber Shop. 203 N.
